Living in Liverpool
Arts and Culture
You can find one of the largest collections of contemporary art outside London at Tate Liverpool, or learn about the city’s 800-year history at the Museum of Liverpool. Of course, no stay in Liverpool would be complete without a visit to the Beatles Story Museum, dedicated to one of the world’s most legendary pop groups.
Food
Liverpool has a thriving Chinatown area, where you’ll find much of Liverpool’s Chinese community and many authentic Chinese restaurants and supermarkets. Alternatively, try the best of British food at the award-winning Munro pub.
Shopping
Find all the biggest stores at the Liverpool ONE centre, or browse the unique independent shops on the popular Bold Street.
Exploring nature
Liverpool has plenty of public parks and gardens, including the 250-acre Sefton Park, where you can find the Liverpool International Plant Collection at the beautiful Victorian Palm House. You can also stroll along the city’s scenic Victorian docks.
Nightlife
You’ll have many options for socialising with your new friends, from visiting a traditional English pub or going to a gig at the Liverpool Echo Arena, to dancing the night away to top DJs playing at the long-running Chibuku club night.
Sport
You can cheer on two top football teams, Everton and Liverpool, or visit the Aintree Racecourse to see the famous Grand National horse race.
What’s nearby
You won’t be too far from the seaside in Liverpool — in fact, it’s just a 30 minute train journey to Crosby Beach. Here you can relax by the sea, or see Another Place, a unique work of art by renowned British sculptor Anthony Gormley, comprised of 100 cast iron figures staring out to sea.
