Arts and Culture

Visit the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum to see an amazing mix of treasures from around the world, including famous paintings and historical artefacts. The Pavilion Theatre also hosts ballet, comedy, musicals and opera and there are fairs and festivals on everything from food and drink to vintage cars.

Food

In Bournemouth you can enjoy the best of British food, such as freshly caught Dorset oysters, or sample international cuisine such as Indian, Italian, Lebanese and Mexican.

Shopping

You’ll find everything from high street stores to independent shops in Bournemouth Town Centre, or shop until you drop at the Castlepoint Shopping Park a few miles away.

Exploring nature

There are plenty of open spaces in Bournemouth where you can relax and get back to nature. Take a stroll along the promenade and watch the tide come in, or explore the beautiful Alum Chine Tropical Gardens.

Nightlife

There are plenty of bars, cafés and restaurants to enjoy, or, if you like live music, you can see some of the world’s biggest talents perform at Bournemouth International Centre.

Sport

Enjoy sports facilities from golf courses to tennis courts, or visit the award-winning facilities at the Littledown Centre, including gyms, fitness classes and a swimming pool with water slides.

If you decide to travel out of town, you’ll be within easy reach of famous attractions such as Stonehenge and even UNESCO World Heritage sites like the historic city of Bath and the beautiful Jurassic Coast.

There are many ways you can access wellbeing support at our residences. You can call the free Student Assistance Programme advice line, or, if you’d prefer to speak to someone in person, there will always be a friendly face on the residence reception team for you to talk to. Finally, we also offer a premium support service, Kaplan Living Special Support in many of our residences. You can learn more on our student support page.

Yes. Simply give us the names of your friends when you book and we’ll allocate your rooms together if we can. You will need to all book the same room type and contract length. Read more here.
